The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our own frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
– H.P. Lovecraft
Saturn in Scorpio: a New Dark Age?
I think not.
Still it’s a very vivid portrait.
But we have Uranus in Aries, that will surely give birth to
new ideas and inventions as nothing else
Neptune in Pisces to make it magic, stranger and more magic than we could imagine…
We have Pluto in Capricorn to tear down the old world
faster than we can build the new one…
and we have you and me…
keep breathing because there is something here for you,
something you never could have predicted.
Like the jack and his magic beanstalk,
like a baby in a basket,
as when the girl secretly looks at the god in the moonlight,
when our hero could not resist and opened the heavy door,
Eve ate the apple,
Persephone the pomegranate,
who is going to whisk you to the underworld?
or are you the sort who will come to capture?
We are about to set out on a voyage to
we know not where, and in this moment it scarcely looks like a voyage,
perhaps it looks like a mistake, or
even nothing, just a slow day at the office, or dead tired and the week’s not done,
just the pinprick you barely felt, and three drops of blood fell…
We are about to enter the fairy woods, we won’t be out for years to come…
who plays what part, and who do the fairies love?
What price do you pay to come back from beyond….?
on an ordinary day….
